Tesla Manufacturing: See how the Cybertruck HFS Panels are Blanked, Bent, and Built!

Tesla Manufacturing

See how the CyberTruck HFS Panels

are Blanked, Bent, and Built!

Sandy Munro takes us on a tour at Tesla's Texas Gigafactory so we can see how Tesla developed their special technology to bend the cold rolled steel doors that are used on CyberTruck. We also learn that the thickness of the steel doors is 1.8MM thick, while the rest of the steel outer panels are 1.4MM thick. Also, we learned that the 1.8MM steel doors are so strong and thick and protective that CyberTruck side doors don't require any side impact reinforcement bars inside them, as the door skin can absorb 75% of the load from a side impact!?!?!?

I remember the when I was a kid, going to one of my first field trips which was to a farm to see how things worked, and I was surprised to learn a lot. About a decade ago I was invited by Rolex to be the first journalist to tour all four Rolex Factories in Switzerland, and it completely blew my mind. I mean I was totally stunned. Then a few years later, I toured Tesla's factory in Fremont, California, which also completely blew my mind. The video below explains how I felt watching the amazing Tesla factory tour above:
