The episode below of Connecting The Dots is AMAZINGLY articulate and informative regarding how Ford and Toyota are attempting to copy Elon's playbook in order to survive. I have been arguing for the past 8 years, that it was crystal clear to me that Elon had the entire automotive industry in checkmate, and ever since then, we have been seeing this reality slowly become more and more obvious. Can Toyota and Ford actually compete with Tesla? In my opinion, I would say no, as I think the only thing they can do is postpone the inevitable. Why? Tesla Model X & Y Look Like Toyota Prius

Over the years I could not help but notice the silhouette of the Tesla Model X was remarkably similar to a Toyota Prius. It almost looked like the Tesla Model X looked like a Toyota Prius on steroids.

With the introduction of the Tesla Model Y, I noticed it is even more similar to the Toyota Prius. I am not suggesting that Tesla copied Toyota as an electric Tesla is quite different than a Hybrid Prius. Also, the Tesla has much larger wheel well openings to accommodate significantly larger tires. Tesla also made the Model S, X, 3 and Y look much more like a traditional luxury car, where brands like Toyota and BMW with their original i3 made them looks like unappealing weirdo cars...

I remember how 15 years ago in California who Prius models were everywhere, much in the same way that we are about to see the Tesla Model Y become omnipresent.
