Jake's Recommended CyberTruck Accessories Guide

Jake's Essential CyberTruck

Interior & Bed Accessories Guide

Just bought a Cybertruck? About to, or just thinking about taking the plunge? Already own a CyberTruck and want it fully dialed in?

This comprehensive CyberTruck accessory guide is for you.

The Cybertruck is simultaneously the most advanced, capable, and entertaining vehicle ever built… and yet somehow Tesla ran the ball down to the two-yard line and just stopped.

This guide focuses on the glaring missing features that still feel unfinished in 2025—the accessories that should have shipped standard and would finally put the truck in the end-zone where it belongs.

These are the accessories I've personally bought, installed, and tested on my own Cybertruck—only the ones I genuinely recommend.

As an Amazon Associate, I earn a small commission on some qualifying purchases (others I recommend earn me nothing). My goal is simple: share the research, real-world insights, and design decisions that helped me perfectly dial-in my Cybertruck.

With five decades as a hardcore designer, I evaluate products through a demanding lens—focusing on fit, finish, function, and aesthetics far beyond the average. If it's here, it earned its spot.

Also, my must-have CyberTruck accessories include my JAKEeWRAP (pictured above), which I discuss in detail in my article titled "Jay's Tint Shop Brings JAKEeWRAP to LIFE".

CyberTruck Accessory Reviews

CyberTruck's factory chargers (two weak, misaligned coils in front of the center armrest) are notorious:
-Severe overheating
-Painfully slow charging (or none at all)
-Dangerously low position that pulls eyes off the road
They should be high and forward—near HUD height—so vision stays up where it belongs, not looking downward toward the floor.
After testing nearly every aftermarket option and finding them all lacking, I designed my own: a clean, reliable dual MagSafe/Qi2 solution that works flawlessly, stays cool, and costs far less than you’d expect.
It’s now my single most recommended Cybertruck upgrade, and the one that people tend to be blown away by the most when they are guests in my Cybertruck...
(Disclosure: I own BulletTrain, and am the head of design, which means I have built smart wallet cases for iPhone since 2012, and know magnetic wireless charging inside out.)

My solution allows you to instantly rotate your phone from portrait to landscape.

In my CyberTruck, I installed these wireless Magsafe/Qi2 magnetic mounts with fast 15-Watt chargers on both sides of the dash, and as you can see they snap into the air vent area. To learn all about this amazing solution be sure to check out my review titled "Dual Magsafe/Qi2 Wireless Chargers for CyberTruck."

CyberTruck Storage

From No Pockets to Perfect Cargo Pants

Now that we've overcome the phone charger issue, the next massive gap in the Cybertruck is clear: zero factory storage solutions. Ironically, the CyberTruck cabin is unusually cavernous with a great deal of wasted space.

CyberTruck ships like a pair of pants with no pockets.

My accessories transform it into killer cargo pants that look and feel perfect.

My #1 rule for storage: everything must be completely invisible or extremely low-profile.

Ride in my Cybertruck and you’d never know the storage is there.

After dialing-in and optimizing the storage space in my CyberTruck, I still have significant surplus cargo space—the exact “Be Prepared” margin every Boy Scout aspires to. After all, the CyberTruck really is a vehicle for all four seasons, with it's go anywhere, do anything prowess...

The CyberTruck ships without even a place to store your sunglasses intelligently, which seems very strange to me since it's billed as the best truck ever made. Ironically, Tesla included a cheap, janky storage tray in Foundation Series models, but with the non-foundation models, stripped it out. So congratulations Tesla! You are great at successfully pinching pennies, which makes zero sense, as you don't seem to understand that customers who spend $100K on a luxury vehicle expect fit and finish—not some a vehicle that has been stripped down...

Ironically, Tesla could probably include all my recommended storage accessories, and doing so would probably only have cost them $200, but they would have delivered a very thoughtfully designed car, instead of one where it feels like they cut corners to save a few bucks...

My CyberTruck came without Tesla's center console tray, so I purchased this superb model made by Spigen, which I highly recommend.

This center console storage solution with dual cup holders was a complete game-changer for my CyberTruck, as it offers massive storage, while being well designed, well made, unobtrusive and close to OEM looking.

This CyberTruck Cargo net solution is another must-have game changer, so much so I would argue Tesla should offer this accessory as standard with every CyberTruck as it's so useful for preventing things like groceries from shifting around in the bed, while maintaining easy and instant access to the sub trunk.

All the CyberTruck Accessories below I purchased with my own money and highly recommended. Most of them are available on Amazon.com, and if you click on the links I provide, TeslaMagazine.org makes a small affiliate commission (at no cost to you :-)

This unit mounts under the rear seats and offers a tremendous amount of well designed storage, which is hidden and cannot be seen. The image below shows the immense amount of under rear seat storage they can hold.

The image below shows how this storage unit fits perfectly underneath the rear seats, and when it's closed you can't even tell its stealth storage space.

-----

These are slide out drawers that are optimized for storage space, and make it easy to access. They are sold in a pair, and one goes under the drivers seat, and one under the front passenger seat. I tried the other popular design drawer system, but they had offered far less storage space than these.

-----

This is a small box with a black top on it that can be used for storing eyeglasses or sunglasses, or it can also be used as a small garbage can. For some reason, they only offer it for the drivers side door, and don't offer one for the passenger door. I like the design as it doesn't interfere with your left knee when driving. The image below is confusing and makes it look like there is one for each door, but they just show it in the open and closed position. I ended up installing velcro on the back of mine to better secure it in place so it can't move around.

-----

Cleaning the jumbo sized windshield on the CyberTruck is really, really challenging with a standard size Window Cleaner and Squeegee combo. This model is perfectly sized at 55 inches long, and is relatively inexpensive. The quality of the product appears high and built-to-last and perform well.

-----

Cleaning the inside of the CyberTruck windshield is very challenging as it's so long and large. This 29-Inch model makes it much easier to clean your CyberTruck Windshield so it doesn't fog up.

-----

If you live in an area where it snows, or if you take your CyberTruck skiing or snowboarding, you definitely want to carry one of these with you, and its extra long and easy to use.

-----

These custom storage organizer tray bottoms essentially create a floor-like base for the door handle area on both the front and rear doors of the CyberTruck. Without them, anything placed in this door handle opening would fall straight down and land in the map pocket.

These shelf structures are a complete game-changer and should have been standard with the CyberTruck. This is one of many details on the CyberTruck that makes me say, it feels like Tesla ran the ball down to the 2 yard line and just stopped. I spoke with the designer of this product, and he sells them on Etsy.com.

The hero shot above is from the manufacturer of the door handle tray bottom and the one below shows it in my CyberTruck. As you can see it's super clean and does not interfere or effect any aspect performance on the door opening button, nor on the mechanical backup door handle release mechanism.

Below we see the CyberTruck Door Tray Kit with the parts before they are installed. As we see, each shelf includes a lower support shim.

The CyberTruck Door Trays pictured above are only available on Etsy, and are extremely well designed, precisely made, and relatively easy to install.

WARNING

I tried two other brands/style of a similar door handle shelves and they were a complete design nightmare. The first image below shows this super goofy pocket style that destroys the design of the door handle and completely uglifies it. I don't know who designed this but I would give them an F-. Also, its front top edge and rear top edges interfere with and negatively affect the performance.

Below we see a similar 3-D Printed version of the injection molded style of CyberTruck Door Handle Tray, which is also a horrible design.

Below is yet another style I tried, and certainly these where better than the style above, but they had raised edges, which were sharp and you could feel them when you would stick your hand in the door handle to close the door. Also, the four raised edges take up essential storage space, which can't be used. Again, junk design.

The image below shows the CyberTruck door handle tray before it was installed, and as you see the four raised edges are not only sharp, but reduce the amount of useful storage shelf space.

This is an interesting solution that offers a neck pillow to make longer drives more comfortable. A lot of companies sell similar products, and the best price I found for this on Amazon saves a lot of money versus buying them from other vendors who charge much more for the exact same product. These are available in both black and white, and you can also purchase just a single pillow, or a two pack which offers a better value.

-----

This VacuMaid Garage Vacuum is a complete game changer, as it mount on the wall in your garage. It has amazing suction power, a HEPA filter, is relatively quiet, and comes with a really long 30 foot hose. This vacuum will make keeping your car interior much easier much easier.

Also, you are going to want to purchase some extra bags for your VacuMaid and the Crucial brand is renowned for making bags that are as good as the standard OEM bags, but less expensive.

-Digital Rear View Mirror Replacement
