Review & Recommendation: CyberTruck Floor Storage Console

Review & Recommendation

CyberTruck Floor Storage Console

This is a really interesting review for many different reasons. Long before I purchased my CyberTruck, I was studying accessories, and in particular, just like with my original 2014 Model S, the CyberTruck has a huge storage area on the floor, in front of the center console, which is pretty much useless. I am a master designer which 5 decades of design experience, and I would have a hard time improving on the design of this storage console.

Ironically, there are many resellers that sell this same model on the internet, but if you follow my Amazon affiliate link, which I make a small commission on, you can get it for less than $99.

I can't highly enough recommend this storage console which is a complete game-changer, and here are the top 10 reasons why:

-Easy to clean

-Amazing design that is extremely useful.

-Inexpensive

-Superb deep storage

-Superb organization

-Looks great. Doesn’t look like a science experiment gone astray.

-Massive storage

-Great cupholders hold water bottles perfectly.

-Doesn’t interfere or get in the way of anything.

-Seems to really be the missing piece of the puzzle for the in vehicle storage solution. So much so, it actually creates a surplus of storage space which was a pleasant surprise.

I was very concerned about it getting in the way, somehow, where it might interfere, but after testing extensively, it seems to be the exact opposite in the sense that it’s alway completely out of the way.

I think the extra set of cupholders is potentially a game-changer, as it appears to hold my ThermoFlask 22 ounce water bottles PERFECTLY. Not only is the positioning perfect, but so is access for ingress and egress for water bottles. If I am driving my myself, I like to keep my water bottle in the standard right holder, to keep it out of the way, but when driving with others, it’s better to use neither, and that’s a big benefit for this.  Also, it does a great job at holding my ThermoFlask water bottle with the silicone sleeve on its bottom, which does not easily fit in the standard cupholders.

Also, when eating a meal in the car at a fast food restaurant it’s great as you can place a soft drink and water bottle lower in this cupholder, and keep things like French Fries in the upper cupholders. The two cupholders are feature a silicone lining which prevents any noise and offers easy clean up.

Ironically, I like the way the Kleenex box fits in the garbage can area, and it perfectly fits a square (narrow upright) box of Kleenex perfectly.

In the rearmost storage area I keep loose napkins from take out restaurant food, that can be used for cleaning up quick messes, as well as for when I might need and extra napkin.

The garbage can area as well as the cupholder area, are removable, and underneath, in what I would describe as a hug hidden compartment, you can store a great deal of additional stuff, just make sure you don't store anything down there can can roll around and make noise, but for instance you could store full size boxes of Kleenex tissues. Below we see a transparent view that shows how much extra storage space there is.

It's worth mentioning that you can install this console in just a few second, and it requires zero tools, and if you want to remove it for any reason, including cleaning, it's super easy to remove. This model fits and works with all CyberTruck models, out of the box. I am not crazy about the silver top, and have thought about painting it matte black in the future to make it more invisible. My only advice is, don't store anything in any of the compartments that could roll around/or make noise. On a scale from 1-100 I would give this a strong 98++.
