Jake's Recommended CyberTruck Accessories Guide

Jake's Essential CyberTruck

Interior & Bed Accessories Guide

Just bought a Cybertruck? About to, or just thinking about taking the plunge? Already own a CyberTruck and want it fully dialed in?

This comprehensive CyberTruck accessory guide is for you.

The Cybertruck is simultaneously the most advanced, capable, and entertaining vehicle ever built… and yet somehow Tesla ran the ball down to the two-yard line and just stopped.

This guide focuses on the glaring missing features that still feel unfinished in 2025—the accessories that should have shipped standard and would finally put the truck in the end-zone where it belongs.

These are the accessories I've personally bought, installed, and tested on my own Cybertruck—only the ones I genuinely recommend.

As an Amazon Associate, I earn a small commission on some qualifying purchases (others I recommend earn me nothing). My goal is simple: share the research, real-world insights, and design decisions that helped me perfectly dial-in my Cybertruck.

With five decades as a hardcore designer, I evaluate products through a demanding lens—focusing on fit, finish, function, and aesthetics far beyond the average. If it's here, it earned its spot.

Also, my must-have CyberTruck accessories include my JAKEeWRAP (pictured above), which I discuss in detail in my article titled "Jay's Tint Shop Brings JAKEeWRAP to LIFE".

CyberTruck Accessory Reviews

CyberTruck's factory chargers (two weak, misaligned coils in front of the center armrest) are notorious:
-Severe overheating
-Painfully slow charging (or none at all)
-Dangerously low position that pulls eyes off the road
They should be high and forward—near HUD height—so vision stays up where it belongs, not looking downward toward the floor.
After testing nearly every aftermarket option and finding them all lacking, I designed my own: a clean, reliable dual MagSafe/Qi2 solution that works flawlessly, stays cool, and costs far less than you’d expect.
It’s now my single most recommended Cybertruck upgrade, and the one that people tend to be blown away by the most when they are guests in my Cybertruck...
(Disclosure: I own BulletTrain, and am the head of design, which means I have built smart wallet cases for iPhone since 2012, and know magnetic wireless charging inside out.)

My solution allows you to instantly rotate your phone from portrait to landscape.

In my CyberTruck, I installed these wireless Magsafe/Qi2 magnetic mounts with fast 15-Watt chargers on both sides of the dash, and as you can see they snap into the air vent area. To learn all about this amazing solution be sure to check out my review titled "Dual Magsafe/Qi2 Wireless Chargers for CyberTruck."

CyberTruck Storage

From No Pockets to Perfect Cargo Pants

Now that we've overcome the phone charger issue, the next massive gap in the Cybertruck is clear: zero factory storage solutions. Ironically, the CyberTruck cabin is unusually cavernous with a great deal of wasted space.

CyberTruck ships like a pair of pants with no pockets.

My accessories transform it into killer cargo pants that look and feel perfect.

My #1 rule for storage: everything must be completely invisible or extremely low-profile.

Ride in my Cybertruck and you’d never know the storage is there.

After dialing-in and optimizing the storage space in my CyberTruck, I still have significant surplus cargo space—the exact “Be Prepared” margin every Boy Scout aspires to. After all, the CyberTruck really is a vehicle for all four seasons, with it's go anywhere, do anything prowess...

The CyberTruck ships without even a place to store your sunglasses intelligently, which seems very strange to me since it's billed as the best truck ever made. Ironically, Tesla included a cheap, janky storage tray in Foundation Series models, but with the non-foundation models, stripped it out. So congratulations Tesla! You are great at successfully pinching pennies, which makes zero sense, as you don't seem to understand that customers who spend $100K on a luxury vehicle expect fit and finish—not some a vehicle that has been stripped down...

Ironically, Tesla could probably include all my recommended storage accessories, and doing so would probably only have cost them $200, but they would have delivered a very thoughtfully designed car, instead of one where it feels like they cut corners to save a few bucks...

My CyberTruck came without Tesla's center console tray, so I purchased this superb model made by Spigen, which I highly recommend.

------------------

This center console storage solution with dual cup holders was a complete game-changer for my CyberTruck, as it offers massive storage, while being well designed, well made, unobtrusive and close to OEM looking.

------------------

This CyberTruck Cargo net solution is another must-have game changer, so much so I would argue Tesla should offer this accessory as standard with every CyberTruck as it's so useful for preventing things like groceries from shifting around in the bed, while maintaining easy and instant access to the sub trunk.

------------------

All the CyberTruck Accessories below I purchased with my own money and highly recommended. Most of them are available on Amazon.com, and if you click on the links I provide, TeslaMagazine.org makes a small affiliate commission (at no cost to you :-)

This unit mounts under the rear seats and offers a tremendous amount of well designed storage, which is hidden and cannot be seen. The image below shows the immense amount of under rear seat storage they can hold.

The image below shows how this storage unit fits perfectly underneath the rear seats, and when it's closed you can't even tell its stealth storage space.

-----

These are slide out drawers that are optimized for storage space, and make it easy to access. They are sold in a pair, and one goes under the drivers seat, and one under the front passenger seat. I tried the other popular design drawer system, but they had offered far less storage space than these.

-----

This is a small box with a black top on it that can be used for storing eyeglasses or sunglasses, or it can also be used as a small garbage can. For some reason, they only offer it for the drivers side door, and don't offer one for the passenger door. I like the design as it doesn't interfere with your left knee when driving. The image below is confusing and makes it look like there is one for each door, but they just show it in the open and closed position. I ended up installing velcro on the back of mine to better secure it in place so it can't move around.

-----

Cleaning the jumbo sized windshield on the CyberTruck is really, really challenging with a standard size Window Cleaner and Squeegee combo. This model is perfectly sized at 55 inches long, and is relatively inexpensive. The quality of the product appears high and built-to-last and perform well.

-----

Cleaning the inside of the CyberTruck windshield is very challenging as it's so long and large. This 29-Inch model makes it much easier to clean your CyberTruck Windshield so it doesn't fog up.

-----

If you live in an area where it snows, or if you take your CyberTruck skiing or snowboarding, you definitely want to carry one of these with you, and its extra long and easy to use.

-----

These custom storage organizer tray bottoms essentially create a floor-like base for the door handle area on both the front and rear doors of the CyberTruck. Without them, anything placed in this door handle opening would fall straight down and land in the map pocket.

These shelf structures are a complete game-changer and should have been standard with the CyberTruck. This is one of many details on the CyberTruck that makes me say, it feels like Tesla ran the ball down to the 2 yard line and just stopped. I spoke with the designer of this product, and he sells them on Etsy.com.

The hero shot above is from the manufacturer of the door handle tray bottom and the one below shows it in my CyberTruck. As you can see it's super clean and does not interfere or effect any aspect performance on the door opening button, nor on the mechanical backup door handle release mechanism.

Below we see the CyberTruck Door Tray Kit with the parts before they are installed. As we see, each shelf includes a lower support shim.

The CyberTruck Door Trays pictured above are only available on Etsy, and are extremely well designed, precisely made, and relatively easy to install.

WARNING

I tried two other brands/style of a similar door handle shelves and they were a complete design nightmare. The first image below shows this super goofy pocket style that destroys the design of the door handle and completely uglifies it. I don't know who designed this but I would give them an F-. Also, its front top edge and rear top edges interfere with and negatively affect the performance.

Below we see a similar 3-D Printed version of the injection molded style of CyberTruck Door Handle Tray, which is also a horrible design.

Below is yet another style I tried, and certainly these where better than the style above, but they had raised edges, which were sharp and you could feel them when you would stick your hand in the door handle to close the door. Also, the four raised edges take up essential storage space, which can't be used. Again, junk design.

The image below shows the CyberTruck door handle tray before it was installed, and as you see the four raised edges are not only sharp, but reduce the amount of useful storage shelf space.

-----

This is an interesting solution that offers a neck pillow to make longer drives more comfortable. A lot of companies sell similar products, and the best price I found for this on Amazon saves a lot of money versus buying them from other vendors who charge much more for the exact same product. These are available in both black and white, and you can also purchase just a single pillow, or a two pack which offers a better value.

-----

This VacuMaid Garage Vacuum is a complete game changer, as it mount on the wall in your garage. It has amazing suction power, a HEPA filter, is relatively quiet, and comes with a really long 30 foot hose. This vacuum will make keeping your car interior much easier much easier.

Also, you are going to want to purchase some extra bags for your VacuMaid and the Crucial brand is renowned for making bags that are as good as the standard OEM bags, but less expensive.

Review & Recommendation: CyberTruck Floor Storage Console

Cybertruck Lower Center Console Organizer

Review & Recommendation

The Tesla Cybertruck's spacious cabin includes a deep, open floor area in front of the center console that's largely unused and prone to clutter.

This floor storage console organizer is an outstanding accessory. As a designer with five decades of experience, I've studied this space extensively—much like the under-console storage in my 2014 Model S—and this product brilliantly transforms wasted space into functional, multi-layer storage. It fits perfectly (custom-molded from 3D scans), adds compartments for items like, cups, trash, and hidden sections, with durable ABS/silicone construction that's easy to clean and rattle-free.

Highly recommended—elevates interior utility without compromising the Cybertruck's aesthetic.

Ironically, there are many resellers that sell this same model on the internet, but if you follow my Amazon affiliate link, which I make a small commission on, you can get it for less than $99.

I can't highly enough recommend this storage console which is a complete game-changer, and here are the top 10 reasons why:

-Easy to clean

-Amazing design that is extremely useful.

-Inexpensive

-Superb deep storage

-Superb organization

-Looks great. Doesn’t look like a science experiment gone astray.

-Massive storage

-Great cupholders hold water bottles perfectly.

-Doesn’t interfere or get in the way of anything.

-Seems to really be the missing piece of the puzzle for the in vehicle storage solution. So much so, it actually creates a surplus of storage space which was a pleasant surprise.

I was very concerned about it getting in the way, somehow, where it might interfere, but after testing extensively, it seems to be the exact opposite in the sense that it’s alway completely out of the way.

I think the extra set of cupholders is potentially a game-changer, as it appears to hold my ThermoFlask 22 ounce water bottles PERFECTLY. Not only is the positioning perfect, but so is access for ingress and egress for water bottles. If I am driving my myself, I like to keep my water bottle in the standard right holder, to keep it out of the way, but when driving with others, it’s better to use neither, and that’s a big benefit for this.  Also, it does a great job at holding my ThermoFlask water bottle with the silicone sleeve on its bottom, which does not easily fit in the standard cupholders.

Also, when eating a meal in the car at a fast food restaurant it’s great as you can place a soft drink and water bottle lower in this cupholder, and keep things like French Fries in the upper cupholders. The two cupholders are feature a silicone lining which prevents any noise and offers easy clean up.

Ironically, I like the way the Kleenex box fits in the garbage can area, and it perfectly fits a square (narrow upright) box of Kleenex perfectly.

In the rearmost storage area I keep loose napkins from take out restaurant food, that can be used for cleaning up quick messes, as well as for when I might need and extra napkin.

The garbage can area as well as the cupholder area, are removable, and underneath, in what I would describe as a hug hidden compartment, you can store a great deal of additional stuff, just make sure you don't store anything down there can can roll around and make noise, but for instance you could store full size boxes of Kleenex tissues. Below we see a transparent view that shows how much extra storage space there is.

It's worth mentioning that you can install this console in just a few second, and it requires zero tools, and if you want to remove it for any reason, including cleaning, it's super easy to remove. This model fits and works with all CyberTruck models, out of the box. I am not crazy about the silver top, and have thought about painting it matte black in the future to make it more invisible. My only advice is, don't store anything in any of the compartments that could roll around/or make noise. On a scale from 1-100 I would give this a strong 98++.

Purchase this amazing center console organizer now for a great price of less than $90 on Amazon, where I make a small commission.

Great CyberTruck Review

Great CyberTruck Review

I have probably watched EVERY single CyberTruck review video on YouTube at least once, and most of them are a terrible waste of time. In other words, most of them are clickbaity, and say, 'blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, the CyberTruck doesn't look like any other vehicle on the road, and it has drive by wire steering coupled with 4 wheel steering which is very unique'.

I want to learn about cool insight that everybody doesn't already know, or isn't painfully obvious, and that kind of 'out of the box' insight only come from critical thinking, and is hard to come by, and that is what makes TeslaMagazine.org far different than any other online Tesla resource. As you may know I have been publishing RolexMagazine.com for 18 years, and it's exactly the same, in the sense it's not like any other online Rolex resource.

The video review of the CyberTruck seen above is hosted by Dan Markham and is a pretty good review, as it offers some interesting insights. I was shocked to discover that he NEVER removed the wheel covers in the whole 7 months he's owned his CyberTruck, and he points out that your fingers will get all dirty removing them.

This is true, and why I wear gloves when removing the covers. What he doesn't point out is the extreme benefit, of these covers is that since they protect your entire wheel, not only can you not get curb rash, but also they are wicked-easy to clean as you don't need to clean rims with all kinds of specialty brushes. For the record, I removed my rims a few days after having owned my CyberTruck, which explains why I thought it was strange it took him 7 months to do so, and I also thought it was kinda weird that he was complaining about getting his fingers dirty. I mean, welcome to the real world, as that will happen to ANY and EVERY vehicle if you don't clean them.

He also makes a point about how if you charge at the SuperCharger, it cost much more to charge up a CyberTruck than a Model Y, on a per mile basis. In other words, on a long road trip, the cost to charge up a Model Y, is close to twice as much to cover the same amount of miles. This makes sense as the CyberTruck is close to double the size and weight of the Model S, and the CyberTruck is King of the Road, where the Model Y is generic. Speaking of generic looks, I think his blacked out CyberTruck, looks pretty RaaaaaaD.

Speaking of Tesla Superchargers, I took the photo below at a Tesla Supercharger in Ashland, Oregon and I was shocked at how many different brands were charging at the same time. It's like the United Nations of Superchargers as we see Rivian, Chevy, in the image below, but I also see Ford Lightning and all kinds of other brands charging at Tesla Superchargers. Basically, most other brands, including Mercedes and BMW, just gave up, and threw the towel in and capitulated to Tesla for charging. In my estimation this is a harbinger and sign of things to come in the automotive space, as I believe in the next couple of years we will see the same thing play out with FSD. In other words, I think many, if not all these brands will switch over to FSD, cause if you can't beat em, you better join em.

I remember when Elon mentioned years ago that Tesla would not operate the service centers or superchargers as profit centers, which never really made sense to me. One thing that is crystal clear, is the cost to Supercharge is far more expensive that charging at home, depending unless you live in California which suffers from ridiculously high energy prices.

For the record, I am working on a super detailed video review of my CyberTruck, and I promise once I publish it will be unlike any other video review. I am also working on a number or reviews for superb accessories for the CyberTruck. As previously mentioned, I have watched EVERY CyberTruck review video, including videos on CyberTruck accessories, and I a surprised at many of the products people say they like, as so many of them are a waste of time and money. Since I am a hardcore designer, you can rest assured that I will be scrutinizing all CyberTruck accessories and ONLY sharing information on great products, so stay tuned for that as well!

One More Thang

Dan Markham also shot this AMAZING documentary on how he wrapped his CyberTruck, and it's chock full of amazing insight. 12 minutes in, he give an amazing demo on the self healing characteristics of PPF, which blew my mind!!!!

Tesla Annual Shareholder Meeting 2025

Spigen Center Console CyberTruck Organizer Tray

Spigen Center Console

CyberTruck Top Organizer Tray

This tray was one of my first purchases for my Cybertruck, and it's a pretty amazing design. It's built like a tank, and is easy to grab to move. I did try other brands, and they were nowhere near as good as this model. I would go so far as to say that Tesla should purchase this design from Spigen and make it the default upper tray in the CyberTruck center console, which is right under the center armrest.

Speaking of which, in my opinion, Tesla should include all the intelligent storage accessories like this standard with a CyberTruck, but by not offering anything like this, they make what is supposed to be a premium product seem like a stripped down product, which is not cool. This Spigen tray is very reasonably priced at just above $30, and I am providing an Amazon Affiliate link, which I make a small commission from.
